carlos and adela hired me for their wedding about a year and a half ago. since our first meeting i have photographed their daughter’s quinceañera & portrait session, their engagement shoot, and of course their recent wedding. working with their family so many times has been a pleasure as i feel like i have gotten to know them.

the day started as the couple got ready for their wedding and a trolley picked us up to bring us to st. benedict parish. they remembered to make sure the balcony door was unlocked so that shots from above could be had. their church had few restrictions in relation to wedding photography so i was able to move about freely and capture valuable moments such as the parents’ reactions during the ceremony. following the ceremony, the bridal party hopped on a trolley and stopped at a few locations for photos. more and more city brides are choosing to allow for more time for these creative photos rather than hammering through a long list of family photos. for this particular wedding we stopped at wrigley field and the kinzie street bridge for a very fun photo session. carlos and adela held their wedding reception at the newly redesigned mart plaza, which has some of the best views i have seen while having the opportunity to shoot weddings in chicago.
