Andy Warhol once said “Isn’t life a series of images that change as they repeat themselves?” So many moments go by and I am constantly on the lookout to report the ones that are the most eye-catching with my camera. I love my job as a destination wedding photographer and resort photographer.

As much as I love taking photographs, traveling is also at the top of my list of favorite things I couldn’t live without. Learning about different cultures has taught me so much about the world and to some extent how similar we all really are. Eye opening experiences and pushing the envelope help me grow as a person. I’ve been known to immerse myself waist-deep in water on several occasions to capture the best angle for a photograph. One of my biggest fears is heights, but after getting in the front seat of a small Cessna plane,  I learned that conquering fears can be a thrilling experience.
Since flying in tiny planes and working at getting over the heights thing, I’ve made my way to the top of the tallest building in the world. During a wedding ceremony, I climbed to the top of a building via a fire escape to get a shot of the entire scene from an aerial perspective. I’m thankful I don’t have a fear of flying and have flown to nearby islands, Caribbean paradise, and throughout Europe. I recently went to visit a friend in the Middle East. Here is a photo of a curious creature from that trip taken just on the side of the road.

One of the most interesting ways to see the different cities is by Vespa. I’ve had many opportunities to photograph while riding on the back of a scooter. Some of the amazing cities I have traveled to for scooter rallies include Montréal, Las Vegas, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Baltimore, and Providence.

In the summer, I keep a handful of weekends open head to scooter rallies (often at camp sites), camera in tow, to document a subculture of scooter enthusiasts who painstakingly maintain, show, and ride vintage Italian Vespa and Lambretta motorscooters.

She is a goofy Boston Terrier that when she was eight weeks old, took naps in my bag next to the enlarger in a photography darkroom when I was developing prints.
