Fairmont Copley Plaza Oak Room Bar is the location where I met Whitney and Ian, a couple I will have the honor of photographing their upcoming wedding. They are another one of my Chicago couples getting married in Boston! Whitney was searching through a list of Boston wedding photographers while residing in Chicago and she hired me after we clicked over the phone. I knew right away she was the perfect client and I couldn’t wait to meet her in person. This winter, the Whitney and Ian will hold their wedding at the iconic Trinity Church in Boston’s Back Bay, with a reception following at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel just across the street. Both the church and hotel are a tradition in Whitney’s family. She was in fact baptized at the same church and the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel is where her family has an annual dinner. I can see why these wedding venues were the perfect choice! I am lucky to have had the opportunity to meet with this awesome couple before they head off to the new place they’ll call home: Naples, Italy. Before their new journey, they arrived in Boston to get a good chunk of their wedding planning done. I had the opportunity to meet with them in person at the Oak Room Bar. We had a great afternoon chatting, seeing the wedding reception venue, and going over photography details with the wedding planner and catering sales manager of the Fairmont. I of course couldn’t resist taking some photos of the couple. They had such a perfect connection and complimented each other perfectly. These photos below are of the couple in the original Oak Room Bar. Since then, the space has been renovated and is now known as OAK Long Bar + Kitchen and offers a modern farm-to-table menu.
