NYC engagement and wedding photographer – i love new york!

I will be shooting Robbie and Karen’s jewish wedding this summer at the Smith Barn at Brooksby Farm this summer. I grew up a town away from the barn, and remember it being a popular location for apple picking, as it is a working farm. Robbie is currently finishing up school at Yale in New Haven, Connecticut. We scheduled to meet up for an engagement shoot in New York. Since I had previously lived in Carroll Gardens, I made a couple of suggestions for location ideas. It turns out that Robbie used to work in Brooklyn Heights so he loved the idea of shooting at the Promenade. I was so excited to get back into Brooklyn! Karen had never walked the Brooklyn Bridge and I told her that it will be a moment she’ll never forget. If you haven’t done it yourself, I recommend making it a priority if you ever get to NYC. I met Robbie and Karen during the gorgeous afternoon light, and the weather was just perfect: sunny and 77 degrees! We met at Borough Hall in Brooklyn (yes, each Borough has its own “city hall”), and walked through some of the adorable streets of the neighborhood then towards the Brooklyn Heights Promenade. We stumbled across some awesome cars before eventually finding ourselves at the Brooklyn Bridge. Karen had never walked it and she loved it.

Stay tuned for photos from Robbie and Karen’s upcoming New England barn wedding. My favorite Boston wedding DJ will be spinning at their New England barn wedding Ari from Beat Train Productions!

I will be working alongside Beat Train at OceanCliff in Newport this summer as well!
